A vertebrologist is a doctor who deals with the complex treatment of the musculoskeletal system.
Vertebrology is a related science between neurology and orthopedics. This is the field of neurology and orthopedics at the same time. Such a doctor should have a method for diagnosing the spine, joints and muscles. Therefore, with any back pain, headache and dizziness, it is necessary to contact a vertebrologist in order, firstly, to exclude the connection of pain with a violation of the musculoskeletal system and to determine that orthopedic pathology comes to the fore (scoliosis, kyphosis, arthrosis, violation of the feet ), neurological (pinched nerve or neuralgia), or myofascial pain syndrome (prolonged spasm and abnormal muscle tone). 99% of success in treatment depends on the correct diagnosis, therefore, only a vertebrologist can correctly diagnose back problems.
Examples of our patients:
1. A man of 36 years old. The patient came with low back pain, had been to a neurologist earlier, he was diagnosed with lumbodynia. A more detailed examination and examination revealed arthrosis of the sacroiliac joint, which significantly changes the tactics of treatment and management of this patient.
2. A woman of 70 years old. The patient consulted a neurologist with pain in the leg, radiating to the leg, the pain increased sharply when walking. She was diagnosed with lumbar ischialgia. On follow-up examination, it turned out that our patient has grade 3-4 coxarthrosis.
3. Male 25 years old. The patient consulted an orthopedist with shoulder and neck pain. She was diagnosed with periarthritis of the shoulder scapula. An MRI of the shoulder joint and cervical spine was done, and a C6-C7 hernia was found, which caused pain in both the arm and shoulder.
One of the important elements in vertebrology is the ability to diagnose the foot, since this is the main support (foundation) of the body. For example, when the pelvis is skewed, the load on the legs is not distributed correctly, and the difference can sometimes reach up to 5 kg per one of the feet. As the muscles try to compensate for this problem during walking, this in most cases leads to muscle spasm and pain in the back and joints. For example, if there is a misalignment of the pelvis from left to right, then the misalignment in the cervical spine will be asymmetric (right to left).
A small deformation change in the foot leads to serious degenerative-dystrophic changes in the entire musculoskeletal system, even in the jaw! Many dentists confuse jaw problems - malocclusion, etc. with problems arising from pathologies of the musculoskeletal system and make corrections in the jaw without consulting a vertebrologist or podiatrist. As a result, with this approach, sooner or later, you will have to consult a vertebrologist, and then perhaps again to the dentist for re-correction of the bite. And the treatment of problems with the jaw and bite is correct to start from the base, from the foot. This means that in case of an incorrect bite, start treatment with a consultation with a vertebrologist with a diagnosis of the feet and the entire musculoskeletal system. Then, in the end, you will receive competent and comprehensive treatment, and therefore the expected result from it.

A qualified vertebrologist is a doctor who must be very well versed in neurology, orthopedics, muscle pain and joint biomechanics in order to prescribe the most effective treatment to the patient at diagnosis.
In our clinic you will be able to consult and undergo treatment of the spine with experienced, certified and qualified vertebrologists.
If you have osteochondrosis, intervertebral hernias or protrusions, neck or back pain, dizziness, joint discomfort, etc. we are always happy to help you. Waiting for you!
